The article that appeared in Spain's El Pais Newspaper in their weekend lifestyle magazine ON MADRID about the opening of the new EDUARDO RIVERA store in Madrid

Eduardo’s new store was featured in the weekend feature magazine ON MADRID of the Spanish daily El Pais.  Describing the clothing, interior design and accessories products for sale in the store, the article calls the new EDUARDO RIVERA store “the ideal place to complete a day of shopping”.

Detailing the products for sale in the store as “not only clothing..but you can also acquire interior design items and accessories such as costume jewellery, books, bags, watches, sunglasses, footware and foulards”, and concluding that the new EDUARDO RIVERA store is “not to be missed”, fashion and lifestyle journalist Begona Castro also writes, “Eduardo Rivera, one of the new names of Spanish men’s fashion, has opened his first very own store.  We have tracked him since discovering him in other multi-brand stores but now we have the entire cosmopolitan and urban collection of this Madrileno at our disposition.”

The article lists some of the collections sold in the new flagship store alongside Eduardo’s own (Garpart, Roberto Colína, Jefé, Two in a Gondola) , and enthusiastically summarizes the EDUARDO RIVERA collection;  “For men, the wonderful cotton Jackets, an EDUARDO RIVERA trademark, jeans, sweaters, cotton trousers, shirts..more of the same? Nothing that has the stamp of Eduardo Rivera is the same as anything you have seen before”.

Isolée store, Madrid

The café offers cakes to die for.  We recently visited the Calle Infantes store in Chueca with a group of friends and used our group size to justify trying EVERY SINGLE cake.  I may have had more than my fair share..well, actually I definitely did..diet starts next month..and just between you and I..Edu SCOFFED the chocolate cake.

We were very proud to see during our recent visit, where in addition to filling ourselves with cake we filled our shopping bags (with, in my case, ginger bread men and Turkish delight from the food selection and a Bensimon satchel from the fashion store), that this Uber cool store featured prominently an Eduardo Rivera jacket in the window.

The newer Isolée store in Barrio Salamanca has all that the Infantes store has to offer, on a somewhat grander scale, and also has a huge selection of gorgeous coffee table books covering fashion, design, art and architecture.

The Isolée stores are in the centre of two of the best shopping districts in Madrid, Chueca and Salamanca, and really should be included on any shopping itinerary for a visit to Madrid.

We’re very pleased, not to mention super excited (and a little overworked as a result) to announce the opening of the very first EDUARDO RIVERA store in, naturally, the heart of Madrid, Eduardo Rivera’s hometown.

Just off the lovely Plaza Santa Ana at Plaza del Angel, 4 (28012. Madrid), we hope overseas visitors will make a detour after taking a tapa in the square or sipping on a cocktail at the rooftop bar at Hotel ME – both must-do’s on the Madrid visitors’ itinerary – to come and see us.  Or better still; make an exclusive trip with the new store marked as an important stop on your shopping itinerary for the Spanish capital.  Of course we also look forward to welcoming our loyal customers and fellow Madreliños.

The store will not only carry the full EDUARDO RIVERA collection but will also be the unique and exclusive platform for the launch of EDUARDO RIVERA’s first women’s collection, which will be sold exclusively through the new store.  To round out this fashion experience Eduardo will also provide a range of Men’s and Women’s designer wear from around the world he personally admires and feels compliment the philosophy and style of the EDUARDO RIVERA range.

When you pour your heart and soul in to renovating and decorating your apartment, it’s nice to get some compliments on it.  What better recognition than a feature in home style bible, Architectural Digest magazine? That’s precisely what Eduardo has received – with his duplex in the centre of Madrid being featured in this month’s Spanish issue of the magazine.

As part of a series of articles on maximising small spaces, the interview attributes the successful mix of aesthetic and functionality in Eduardo’s apartment (beautifully photographed for the feature – see below) to the redistribution of space by the architect responsible for the recent renovation, Ricardo de la Torre, as well as Edu’s capabilities as a designer and his love of art. AD notes that Eduardo has furnished the apartment with “a mix of vintage, design, art and touches of ‘gourmet decoration’ “.

In the interview Edu explained, “..For me it’s no different creating clothing – playing with fabrics that you mix and combine – than decorating my home; the place where I live and also where I spend a lot of time working and being inspired.”

Edu also announces the exciting news that he will be launching the first EDUARDO RIVERA store in Madrid in March. We’ll bring you more details of this exciting new venture soon.
